The TOEFL iBT score report looks different from the one most older guides describe. This page summarizes what ETS says a 2026 report contains, how long scores last, and how to use the report when you apply. For two years after the January 21, 2026 launch (through January 2028), ETS says each score report includes three measures:

ETS states that scores are valid for 2 years from the test date and that official scores are available about 3 days after the test. It also says unofficial Reading and Listening scores can be visible at the end of the test, subject to quality checks. Speaking and Writing are scored by ETS’s centralized scoring team, never at the test center. Because these timelines can change, confirm them with ETS before you plan around them.
ETS notes that you do not need to convert scores yourself: you submit your official scores as normal, and each institution follows its own guidance. Programs are updating at different speeds, so one may list a 0–120 requirement, another a 1–6 band, and another both. If you are unsure which number a program will use, ask its admissions office.
